Singing 201

Hi!

We're back - it's week 2 of term 4

Sorry for not posting last week - we were just so busy and didn't get enough time!

Oh and I almost forgot something...

Don't worry it's good news actually - no it's not good news it's great news - you know how when one door closes another one opens? That is so true because when the performance door closed at the end of Term 3, the singing 201 door opened. (Well actually, they are both the same door as they are both done in the performance corner but you get what I mean don't you?) 

Anyway - I bet you don't know what singing 201 is. 201 is like 101 but 101 is for beginners, and 201 is for experienced people.  So for singing 201,  it's for the people who were in performance (but not just performance people as Rhea decided to join us today.)

Anyway for singing 201 we're doing some christmas caroling.....    so we're doing an 8 minute medley of christmas songs such as Jingle Bells and Deck the Halls. Nicola says we will be christmas caroling around Windsor-Invercargill so you might want to come and watch possibly? Another thing we will be doing is singing

Silver Linings

Hello blog readers (sorry for not posting last week I was at Sing Out!)

Well today is last day of term 3 meaning I only have 
1 year 1 term 2 and a half hours and 20 seconds 19 seconds 18 seconds.... left at Enrich=( (and counting)

But let's not focus on the sad things - but one last sad thing to get out of my system IT'S THE LAST DAY OF PERFORMANCE!!!!!!!!!!!!!
'Sniff sniff' its sooooooo sad but at least we get to do passion projects yay. I guess? 

But like I said, let's not focus on the bad things in life! Let's focus on the good things like the end of this term means the start of term 4 - and a opportunity to do more of the awesome things we do at Enrich.

Passion projects 

Me and 2 of my besties ANNA and TESSA are thinking of putting together a little CD of original GarageBand music but we're not sure yet so don't place any orders. So I guess every cloud has its silver lining!

Jumping all the way to BED!

I am exhausted! Do you want to know why? Well I'm going to tell you anyway......


9:00 am at school ready for choir practice 

9:30 at choir practice singing my heart out!

12:00 at Enrich 

12:10 lunch (yum)

1:15 TALENT DEVELOPMENT (yay)

1:20 dance practice learning all of the verses to one of our awesome songs 

2:30 blogging (which is what Im doing right now.)


Does that seem tiring to you? Well it is when you have to practice 15 songs! But it's fun if you enjoy singing!

It was the dancing that really took it out of me...... 
I am a dancer so when Nicola told me it would be really tiring I thought I'm a dancer so it shouldn't be too bad.
But I was wrong - very wrong - in fact,  I'm still panting right now.  I'll let one thing slip about the dance and it's that there is a lot of jumping and that's why I'm sooo tired! Looking forward to my bed tonight!

Hello my name is Olivia Im 4 years old and this is a day in the life of me - I named this story I always get what I want because I do! Its very true - all I have to do is scream and cry a bit!

Today I hope to get a pony - not a big big horse but maybe a shetland pony (my mum had to help me spell that)

this is how it went down...

We arrived at the farm at 1:30pm (Im very smart aren’t I, I can tell the time) We looked for a while then I saw the one I wanted..... she’s taller than me (only a bit though) I pointed at her  and said to Dad “I want her” in a lispy baby vioce 

and guess what he said?  No! but then I screamed my heart out like “AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH” I screamed so much I turned purple.  Dad thought I was choking and then I screamed “PONY I WANT PONY” then he had to say yes because we were drawing a crowd. He forked out the $1,000 for her. I called her Daisy.

Hello 

Today we did mind mapping

MIND MAPPING "(yay)"

It's not the ordinary old form of mind-mapping where we put a word in a bubble and put lines around the bubble.

It's more like put a picture in the middle and put branches around the picture.

We did a mind map about our gifted person we have chosen for our study about gifted adults. For mine I have chosen

Hi guys 

Sorry for not posting for the last few weeks, but I'm here now, and posting

Today, I got to be a DJ for a day :)

Well not the whole day, as its not even lunch yet but Im planning to be one for the rest of the day:)

This probably doesn't make sense right now so I will explain: It started off as any normal day at Enrich, then after morning tea there was passion time (still normal). Since I'm in performance its important for me to learn about rhythm and that kind of thing, so for half an hour we were allowed to go on garageband and make a song type of thing. So we did, then halfway through my song I realised that creating beats is really fun. I like doing it, so now I don't know but I might be a DJ:)

Calligraphy

Zoom went the car as we raced to Enrich, we were late-very late I looked at my watch 12:00 o-clock PM. This may look bad but not at all, I just had choir practice for sing out which if you live                round Invercargill I hope to see you at. Yay calligraphy, so after        lunch we learnt calligraphy it was our rotation time but we just            had a small class today (13) so we all did calligraphy. We first         started with normal lettering then onto some strokes then onto the             real lettering. I'm not very good at it but I can do it.                       

                                                                                                             

Now for the final bit, a poster.  It is like a wordel or something           along those lines but I'm choosing to do either a wordel about           happiness or a picture with a message like...
