Mars?

You're probably wondering what the title means (no we did not      go to mars=() Its actually the name of a song we're doing called      life on mars if you haven't heard it its a good song by David           Bowie                                                                                               

Heres a little taster of it ....

Ok now onto something different like CHESS!                              

So today to refresh my memory of chess (its just been the                holidays) I went to one of the classes where we played a game of  giant chess in teams. I was in white and right now we're winning (we're still playing)

Have you ever heard of Queen?

Today we did talent development and I did performance group.

It just keeps on getting better but if you read my last post you would have thought we were doing 'River Deep, Mountain High' but no were not anymore in stead for our big song were doing "Don't Stop Me Now" by Queen you might have heard it from the lotto ad
"Don't stop me now cos I'm having a good time, having a good time!" Well if you haven't then you should because its a good song! Were also doing "Taller, Stronger, Better by Guy Sebastian.It's a slow song but its a good song. But we have 1 more song "Oh my" by Gin Wigmore

Performance Group

Hello

Laaaaaaaaaaaa - sorry just practicing for the performance group.
You should hear us!
Performance is going great, and today we started on our first song River Deep Mountain High. 

We also did lots of warm up games like H.A.S.H and beans

H.A.S.H stands for Happy, Angry, Sad and Happy
so you count to 20 in those emotions like this...

Happy 1 2 3 4 5 
Angry 6 7 8 9 10
Sad 11 12 13 14 15
Happy 16 17 18 19 20

and also how to play beans....

There are 5 types of beans 
jumping beans,
runner beans,
broad beans,
string beans and
French beans
When the teacher calls out jumping beans you jump
when she calls out runner beans you run on the spot 
when she calls out broad beans be as fat as you can be
when she calls out string beans be as skinny as you can be and when she calls out French beans stick out your hand like in Im a little tea pot and say "Oo la la"

Performance Group

Hello                                                                                                    
Today at Enrich we did talent development.  I decided to go in       the performance group with Nicola as the teacher. We had to       audition so we had to sing, dance or recite a poem.  I sang              Getting Over You by David Guetta with my friend Tessa.            
 Then because we had done a duet we each had to sing a line          like..........................................................                                                
Tessa: all the things I know right now                                                 
Mia: if I'd only knew back then                                                        
Tessa: there's no getting over                                                              
Mia: there's no getting over etc etc.                                                   
                                                                                                             
By the end of next term we will be out performing so watch out for us if you're in Invercargill!

patterns

Enrich was action packed today!

Today we went to Queens Park to look at what type of patterns are in our area, we saw all different types of patterns like random ones like some toothpicks somebody dropped! 
 My buddy Norton and I were taking pictures of all the patterns we could find. There are 5 types of patterns beauty, order, strength,survivability and random. 
We also went to the rose garden, the aviary, the duck pond and the animals. At the rose garden we took pictures of all the pretty roses. Then we went to the animal enclosure and we saw Auckland Island pigs which surprisingly didn't stink!And finally to the aviary which was loaded with different types of birds!

 The whole purpose of this trip was to see what types of patterns are in our area!

Drama

Hi all

Today was action packed! We did DRAMA it was tons and tons of fun we played 1 word story, when there are 3 people each standing in a line and you need to make up a story and you only get to say one word at a time.

Example 
3 players Billy, Sharon and Jarred 
Billy : koalas Sharon :like Jarred :food
like that then it continues until some one says 2 words or takes more than 20 seconds to say a word.

Why we do it 
To help us to be creative, think outside the box and think on our feet.

Today we also had Talent Development tasters.  I chose Maths which was probability and all about percentages.

Patterns

Hi

It's been a great day at Enrich today we did concept curriculum which was patterns, we did a sheet about different types of patterns like:  Do patterns repeat?yes/no I think yes and no because you can have order patterns like the sun it follows a pattern sun rise sun set sun rise sun set and then there's random patterns like at the class room we have a pattern of colours blue red yellow and white but they don't go in an order so its a pattern but its not in any order:  Do patterns change? yes/no I think yes because behavior patterns like when you are a toddler you can cry and cry to get a chocolate bar, but when you get older like in adulthood if you kick and scream on the ground to get a chocolate bar chances are your not going to get it. We also talked about different types of patterns there are 4

beauty, order, strength and survivability, and to remember them think BOSS B-beauty O-order S-strength and S-survivability.
